Job Description

Pay Rate: $33.75

• Perform all mechanical repairs to various company equipment and vehicles. John Deere, New Holland, and Kubota Farm Tractors.
• Various farm implements. Carry All, Scrapers, Sprayers, Discs Etc.
• Completing Scheduled Maintenance on hours and manufacturer recommendations
• Coordinating and scheduling services with ranch managers and set up between flocks
• Diagnose cooling system and fuel systems
• Diagnose electrical systems
• Able to use lap-top computer and other diagnostic tools
• Communicate electronically emails, text, cell phone calls
• Respond to farm equipment breakdowns
• Coordinate tractors and implements into shop for repairs not completed in field
• Perform all possible maintenance in the field
• Perform all necessary welding, soldering and fabrication repairs
• Don Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Help maintain and improve quality and food safety, to ensure compliance with company quality standards and USDA regulatory requirements
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Demonstrated mechanical experience repairing Farm Tractors and Implements
• Must possess necessary tools to perform repairs
• Must possess a valid California driver’s license and driving record must conform to Foster Farms guidelines Class A Preferred
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision and be self-motivated
• Must be able to effectively communicate in English, which includes reading and writing and legible penmanship
• Must be able to work safely and help maintain a safe work environment
• Must be able to push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to climb in and out of farm tractors continually throughout the shift
• Must be able to bend over and squat
• Must be able to continuously be on feet throughout the shift
• Must be able to work various shifts, overtime, weekends, and occasional holidays as needed
• Must be able to perform all functions of preceding tech levels
• Must perform to established time standards for commonly performed repairs
• Must adhere to Foster Farms Bio Security protocol
• Must adhere to Foster Farms and State Environmental regulations.
• Must be able to use laptop computer as a diagnostic and repair tool.
• Must be computer literate.
• Must be able to submit and pass a criminal background check
• Job will require some travel and overnight stays
• Varied start times and days as schedule of services dictates
• Must maintain proper inventory of parts to preform repairs and maintenance on Farm Equipment
• Ability to learn SAP
• Some basic office skills such as Outlook and Excel
