    Job Description

    The Asset Performance Superintendent is responsible for supporting the Company’s strategic objectives through a focus on the optimum, most cost-effective methods of utilizing assets to enhance profitability, market position, and growth. This position will provide specific concentration on value stream asset performance by reducing operating costs, process capacity constraints, product losses, and product quality variation. This position will provide training and execution of asset care plans and rebuild programs as a global initiative at multiple manufacturing facilities. 

    a. Optimize existing machine specific manufacturing processes to increase performance, efficiency and cost effectiveness at multiple manufacturing sites.

    b. Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures and Process Control strategies that improve results and reduce variability

    c.  Ensure asset performance meets or exceeds design standards.

    d.  Identify and address opportunities for yield improvement, waste reduction, throughput enhancement, and improved process control and consistency.

    e. Lead troubleshooting of persistent, complex machine issues. Communicate findings and CAPA plans to other departments or facilities in clear, concise communication.

    f. Collaborate with other technicians and attendants to provide necessary technical training to Manufacturing and Maintenance departments.

    g. Work with Maintenance team to ensure critical processes, control points, and measurements are properly maintained for consistent performance.

    h. Coordinates Global rebuild program for all sites with relevant assets.

    i.  Help coach and train teammates and participate in on the job training

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    ·        Must possess a minimum of five (5) years maintenance experience in poultry or related industrial areas

    ·        Must have a minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience with emphasis on:

    a.       Expertise in all phases of electrical/instrumentation operations

    b.       Demonstrate good interpersonal communication skills

    c.       Exhibit good leadership skills

    d.       Have working knowledge of state-of-the-art control devices

    ·        Must be able to submit and pass a criminal background check

    ·        Must be able to work with minimal supervision

    ·        Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent

    ·        Must be a trained First Responder – Level A suit qualified

    ·        Must be certified in Confined Space training

    ·        Must be current on CPR/First Aid certification

    ·        Must be trained in lock-out tag-out and safe work practices

    ·        Must be able to bend, stoop walk and stand for prolonged periods of time

    ·        Must be able to climb and work from ladders and in confined spaces safely

    ·        Must be able to work from high altitudes, catwalks and roofs

    ·        Must be able to lift over 50 pounds

    ·        Must be able to work on wet concrete floors

    ·        Must be able to work overtime, weekends and times dictated by production equipment requirements/needs

    Must have PLC experience to include the ability to program, preferably Rockwell-Automation devices.
