Job Description

Pay Range: $105,000 to $125,000

Occupational Health Nurse Managers are expected to maintain required certifications along with knowledge, skills, and expertise through professional development activities. The following engagement will be included and expected with your employment with Foster Farms as an Occupational Health Nurse Manager:

• Directs nursing service activities for occupational health services.
• Develops and conducts training programs to promote employee safety in the workplace.
• Conducts regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify any health or safety hazards.
• Maintains records, investigates accidents and injuries, prepares appropriate reports for OSHA, and ensures compliance with all occupational health, safety, and environmental rules and regulations.
• Coordinates the procurement, review, and project management of contracts and service agreements with outside vendors.
• Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited school. Requires a valid state RN license. Typically reports to top management.
• Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager.
• Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
• Has full authority for personnel actions.
• Extensive knowledge of department processes.
• Typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
• 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid unencumbered RN license in the State of California or a compact state license. CPR/AED certified.  
• Preferred: Wound care experience, employee health experience, knowledge of OSHA
