    Job Description

    We’re looking for a TAX MANAGER who will join the corporate tax team located at our headquarters in the HEART OF THE DENVER TECH CENTER in DENVER, CO!

    You will support the tax function, including management of federal & state tax compliance, accounting for income taxes, partnerships, and REIT compliance. Additionally, work closely with various business groups, providing advice and guidance on tax-related matters that materially impact the business.

    A bit more about what you’ll do…

    • Manage the REIT, Partnership, and Corporate tax activities, ensuring accurate review & timely filing of all federal and state/local returns, estimates and extensions.
    • Monitor REIT compliance across the organization and address/escalate issues as needed.
    • Provide timely and accurate tax support to Finance, Debt, Accounting, Investment Management, Legal, Human Resources and Property Operations teams.
    • Assist with accounting for income taxes (FAS109) and related Sarbanes-Oxley documentation and reporting.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and hold a CPA (Certified Public Accountant).
    • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience including at least 3 years in real estate tax and/or public accounting. Prior experience in public or Big 4 accounting highly preferred.
    • Expertise in real estate tax and accounting, with a strong commitment to continuing education in the field.
    • Exposure to REIT Compliance and Partnership tax regulations is preferred, but not required. 
    • Consultative, professional approach to building relationships across the organization and with external business partners.
    • Strong organization and analytical skills with the ability to quickly interpret, evaluate, and assimilate information.
    • Ability to apply nimble problem-solving tactics to stay ahead of business priorities.
    • Confident communicator with the level of presence and professionalism necessary to successfully interact with senior leadership and external business partners.

    Additional Information

    • Expected pay rate of $125,000 - $150,000. You will be provided a pay rate that is in line with your skills and experience as they relate to the requirements of the job.
