Job Description
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Responsible for food prep, and preparing breakfasts, lunches and dinners.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for the preparations of food items in the fryer section and the steam table.
Must be able to follow Café recipes and know proper plate presentation; restock as needed throughout the shift
Keep work area clean and sanitized at all times
Prepare food items according to Foster Farms specification
Monitor and ensure highest level of food safety
Opening and/or closing, as well as side duties as needed
Keep work station clean
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:
Other duties as required
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
Must have one-two years of cooking in a commercial kitchen, with breakfast, lunch and dinner experience
High School Graduate or equivalent and Serve Safe certificate
Previous training and job knowledge of each station on a ‘cook’s line’ including: fryer, broiler, grill, salad/sandwich, and prep cooking stations.
Must be able to lift 30-40 pounds occasionally
Catering and/or Banquet experience preferred
Must be team player and show pride in workmanship
Must comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act
Excellent interpersonal skills
Must be dependable and organized and be flexible in work hours
