Job Description

Rate: $17.60hr

Purpose of Position: To provide welding/fabrication support for the company.

With instruction/direction, assist higher-level welders/fabricators in providing welding/fabricating support by performing basic welding/fabricating tasks as assigned.

General cleaning and/or assisting other crews if required. Maintaining safety, housekeeping, and sanitation and disease control requirements while performing job duties.  

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of training and/or experience which has provided a basic working knowledge of metal fabrication practices, to include the following:
• Use of basic hand tools such as a hammer, chisels, pliers, tape measure, grinder, etc.
• Use of shop equipment such as a saw, drill, press, punch, etc.
• Use of lockout/tagout equipment and procedures.
• Must be able to pass a Welder/fabricator Level C test.
• Must be able to complete work in a timely and efficient manner.
• Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work from a ladder.
• Must have and maintain a California driver’s license and an acceptable DMV record.
