PURPOSE OF POSITION:                                                                                 

To provide support for the SAP AND OTHER SUPPLY CHAIN systems including SAP Enhanced Warehouse Management (EWM). This includes design, specification, configuration, customization, testing, documenting, training, delivery, reporting and support of software and hardware solutions relating to the master data, configuration, customization, reporting and transactions associated with these processes and applications, across all Foster Farms locations; including a moderate level of knowledge of related content for additional SAP software components installed at Foster Farms.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:                                                                     

Will provide design and implementation support for the ongoing SAP AND OTHER SUPPLY CHAIN projects. This may include requirement collection, solution design and concept writing as well as performing heavily customizing activities of SAP systems and their interfaces to other non-SAP systems.

Will provide primary end user support for the SAP AND OTHER SUPPLY CHAIN systems. This includes:

      *Troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution of end user problems.

      *Performing routine system maintenance checks and corrective actions such as maintaining, adjusting, and manipulating interface intermediate documents (IDocs) where applicable (i.e. WMS / EDI).

 Contribute to ongoing system improvement efforts to include:

      *Collecting requirements from business users, researching available solutions, developing and documenting conceptual design alternatives.

      *Communicate effective conceptual designs, writing technical specifications and coordinating development work with more senior analysts and/or programming staff, building and configuring prototypes and prototype documentation.

      *Communicate with and educate business users, conduct unit testing and coordinate integration and user acceptance testing.

      *Work with security team to ensure appropriate system authorization, migrating to production.

      *Prepare comprehensive and thorough design and training documentation, train subject matter experts and provide post-implementation support efforts.

      *Will interact regularly with end users, engaging in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of production issues, and providing continuous improvements to all aspects of design and processes.

+The candidate will be a member of the Business Systems Team.  This employee will be required to further develop sufficient SAP skills in other functional areas to support maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.

++As the Business Systems Team provides 24X7X365 support to the business, this employee will join the support rotation and will be assigned evening (typically 3 nights per month) and weekend (typically one weekend every 8 weeks) support shifts.

ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Additional duties as assigned by the IT project lead/manager/director.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Management Information System / Computer Information Systems or related field

Must be capable of working to a structured work plan with aggressive milestones and have strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making ability

Must be highly goal and results oriented

Must be highly self-motivated and driven – must be capable and willing to learn complex systems with minimal supervision

Experience with developing business requirements

Experience learning and documenting complex business processes

Project experience is beneficial

Must be able to communicate effectively with varying levels of management and team members, both written and verbal

Excellent technical skills (e.g. SAP, MS Office suite, programming, etc.)

This position will require possession or development of specific skills, knowledge and experience with SAP AND NON-SAP SUPPLY CHAIN systems, specifically in SAP Enhanced Warehouse Management (EWM).

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Meets minimum requirements and the following

Master’s Degree

One to three years experience in Supply Chain systems. Familiarity with business process reengineering, six sigma, lean manufacturing, etc. is strongly desired.

Experience learning and documenting complex business processes.

Basic understanding of the SAP __ systems’ roles and interfaces preferred.

Project experience.

Understanding of how to interview end users for insight on functionality, problems, or usability issues and needs.

Understanding of relational database (e.g. SQL Server and/or Oracle).

Understanding of software development lifecycle phases and activities, and project management principles.

One to two years of IT experience working in a manufacturing organization for a $1+ billion organization

      *Exposure to Business Systems in SAP/ERP environment

      *Exposure to and familiarity with consumer products industry strongly preferred.

Must be able to communicate effectively with varying levels of management and team members, both written and verbal

Ability to move up within the organization.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must have reliable transportation

Must be have to obtain CA driver’s license

Must be able to travel overnight occasionally

Must be able to have consistent attendance in assigned office

Must be able to sit for long periods of time.

Must be able to drive to various company and vendor locations

Must be able to work on the computer for long periods of time

Must be able to deal with periodic high stress situations

Must be able to stay calm and focused when dealing with difficult personnel issues.
