    Job Description

    We are seeking a dynamic Human Resources Assistant to join our team.  Daily responsibilities will include handling a variety of personnel related administrative tasks while providing support to the HR department and employees regarding human resources related activities, policies, processes, and procedures.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Assisting employee relations with review of files and gathering information for disciplinary actions, appeals, legal disputes and other similar actions.
    • Compute final payments and process all termination paperwork with payroll and provide quality for all ledger 35 & 71 paperwork for input and forward to Central Human Resources for processing.            
    • Coordinates leaves with employee, payroll, third party administrators, and management staff, ensuring accuracy of employee leave information and compliance with Federal and State leave laws and regulations.
    • Assist with COVID-19 tracking and payments associated with time missed from work.
    • Reviews and processes ADA requests in an interactive process, documenting the steps taken and ensuring the correct individuals are involved in a determination on all accommodation requests
    • Establishes and maintains logs and files for employee meetings that will promote positive employee relations, turnover, disciplinary actions, grievances and appeals. Utilizing these logs, you will prepare monthly and quarterly reports, including charts and graphs to maximize employee retention.
    • Coordinate all phases of the Service Award Program which includes following up with those who have not placed their order to scheduling and making arrangements for service award presentations.              
    • Coordinates Workers Compensation cases with third party administrators, and management staff, ensuring accuracy of information. 
    • Provide support/backup to all other Human Resource Assistants in the department as needed as well as to Employee Relations Supervisor.      
    • Assist in the planning of company recreational events such as picnics, luncheons, dinners, etc.

     

    Job Requirements:

    • Must have a bachelor’s degree preferably in Human Resources
    • Two or more years’ experience as an HR Assistant or related position
    • Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work well independently and with minimal supervision.
    • Computer literate in Windows environment and proficient in Microsoft Applications at intermediate level.
    • Ability to read/write in English. Bilingual preferred (Spanish/Punjabi).
    • Exceptional customer service skills; Ability to work in a very faced-paced, constantly changing environment with employees and applicants from diverse backgrounds.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong decision-making skills.
