  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    PURPOSE OF POSITION:

    This position will be responsible for all areas of flock scheduling for a Division, in addition to maintaining Breeder and Egg information, performance, projections, and responsible for scheduling egg transport from Colorado and Arkansas to hatcheries.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    Maintain the flock records for all pullet and breeder farms, including projections, actuals, changes to placements.  Project eggs available and report on egg supply vs egg demand on a weekly basis.

    Follow the budget plan for growout and schedule the flock rotation, egg sets, chick placements.  This includes making the decision on how many eggs to set all the way through to regulating bird age. System used is Mtech, and backup in excel.  Reports that will be utilized are IMR, Production Standards, FS, and Ranch Status.

    Create and distribute daily egg sets and chick placements while optimizing egg age, delivery efficiencies and monitoring down time.

    Complete weekly reports and distribute.

    Assist management with all the pertinent information required for the “mid-term” and “long-term” decision making process, to include what ifs and budgets.

    ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:

    Continue ongoing implementation of Mtech.  Testing, running projections, reports on errors. 

    Assist with other Live Scheduling Tasks as assigned.  

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    REQUIREMENTS:

    BS. Degree in business, statistics, or related field strongly preferred

    One-two years experience in scheduling strongly preferred

    Strong Computer Skills (Microsoft office products) M-tech / SAP preferred

    Must have ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.

    Strong interpersonal skills and have strong problem solving skills.

    Must have a high degree of organization and prioritization skills and must be able to perform tasks with minimal direction from management.

    Must have strong analytical abilities and have the ability to solve problems in a detailed, comprehensive manner.

    On sight availability during normal working hours critical.
