Job Description

RATE OF PAY: $16.50hr

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: With instruction/direction, assist higher-level Construction/ Maintenance mechanics in providing Construction/Maintenance support to various Company Departments by performing basic labor tasks as assigned. 

Other duties as assigned to include but not limited to: General cleaning, assisting other crews as required, maintaining safety, housekeeping, sanitation and disease control requirements while performing job duties.

Qualifications

Have basic hand tool knowledge such as hammer, screwdriver, pliers, tape measure, wire strippers, etc. Prior Maintenance and/or carpentry/plumbing/fabrication and/or electrical knowledge preferred Must be mechanically inclined. Must have basic math skills. Must have good communication (English) skills. Have ability to learn and follow lockout tag out procedures. Must be able to complete work in a timely and efficient manner. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to work from a ladder and on high altitudes including chicken house roofs. Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays and job assignments as necessary. Must be able to follow company standards, guidelines and policies including but not limited to safety, animal welfare and production standards. Must have reliable transportation and be able to work at various job site locations.
