Job Description
Purpose of Position: To assist nutritionists while learning analysis and control of all aspects of live production, feed milling, laboratory function and formulation to produce the highest quality bird at the lowest possible cost. Learn and assist with formulation, feed mill management, live production, laboratory operation and evaluating production cost. • Assist with maintenance of ingredient matrix, cost para metrics, formula specifications and formulation daily • Assist with feed mill operations, receiving, batching, conducing mixer profiles, monitoring inventories and maintaining scales and liquid monitoring systems • Assist with house preparation, bird placement, grow out and live haul for both broilers and turkeys • Assist with receiving and processing ingredient and complete samples at the laboratory and summarizing the results • Assist with review production summaries to assess live performance and cost
Qualifications
Junior or Senior level college student preferably poultry science, engineering, business or related field of study with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to understand,and follow all Company and Department policies and procedures including safety, productivity standards and bio-security. Must be highly goal and results oriented. Have the ability to effectively execute tasks and exercise sound judgment and critical thinking in a changing and demanding work environment. Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. Must poses intermediate computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word Programs. Must be detailed oriented. Have strong mathematical and analytical aptitude.
