Job Description

• Completing Yearly Scheduled Maintenance 1 year 2 year 3 year
• Coordinating and scheduling services with ranch managers between flocks
• Diagnose cooling system and fuel systems
• Diagnose electrical systems pertaining to generator motor.
• Able to use lap-top computer and other diagnostic tools
• Communicate electronically emails, text, cell phone calls
• Respond to generator breakdowns
• Coordinate backup generator in event stationary is down for extended time
• Load test generator output and record performance
• Perform all necessary welding, soldering and fabrication repairs
• Don Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Demonstrated mechanical experience repairing stand by generators
• Must possess necessary tools to perform repairs
• Must possess a valid California driver’s license and driving record must conform to Foster Farms guidelines
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision and be self-motivated
• Must be able to effectively communicate in English, which includes reading and writing and  legible penmanship
• Must be able to work safely and help maintain a safe work environment
• Must be able to push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to climb in and out of trucks continually throughout the shift
• Must be able to bend over and squat
• Must be able to continuously be on feet throughout the shift
• Must be able to work various shifts, overtime, weekends, and occasional holidays as needed
• Must be able to perform all functions of preceding tech levels
• Must perform to established time standards for commonly performed repairs
• Must adhere to Foster Farms Bio Security protocol
• Must adhere to Foster Farms and State Environmental regulations.
• Must be able to use laptop computer as a diagnostic and repair tool.
• Must be able to submit and pass a criminal background check
• Varied work days and start times as schedule of maintenance and services dictates. Minimum 40 hr work week.
• Job will require some travel and overnight stays
• Must maintain service truck and proper inventory of parts to perform repairs and maintenance on Gen Sets
• Ability to learn SAP
• Some basic office skills such as Outlook and Excel
