    Job Description

    The Human Resources Manager will partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organizations human resources strategy within the Corporate Division. This role is critical in executing our key HR initiatives, providing available and responsive internal employee support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement. The position reports to the VP of Human Resources.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

    Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention and succession planning.

    Provides support and guidance to HR Business Partners, management and other staff when questions and issues arise: may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing and termination.

    Manages the performance appraisal process; provide relevant coaching and guidance for effective performance management. Collaborates with department managers to coach, guide and create development plans.

    Partnering with Compensation; researches and proposes competitive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.

    Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources, talent management and employment law.

    Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to remain compliance.

    Establish EEO and Affirmative Action plans of action, in accordance with Foster Farms policies.  Train management in Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity.

    Conduct legal investigations regarding sexual harassment, discrimination and EEO

    Qualifications

    REQUIREMENTS:

    B.S./B.A. degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience.

    Minimum of 5-7 years experience in Human Resources with strong Talent Management experience.

    Strong experience with employee and management development, performance management and coaching, change management, and organizational development.

    Strong Technical System skills.

    Ability to be objective in difficult situations with the proven capability to effectively communicate at all levels

    Highly detail-oriented and able to use good judgment as well as maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity

    Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects

    Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills are essential.

    Strategic thinker with proven ability to drive continuous improvement and results.

    Demonstrated ability in problem solving and independent thinking.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

    Ability to work in a fast paced environment

    Consistent and regular attendance is required

    Ability to occasionally work weekends and nights
