Job Description

Foster Farms is looking for an Organizational Development and Training Manager who has experience creating a department from the ground up. This role will be a key member of the Human Resources team and will lead, plan, develop, implement and administer development and training programs throughout the organization. 

Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Direct the needs assessment for training and staff development to enhance the effectiveness of employee performance in achieving the goals and objectives of the company.
• Identify and incorporate best practices and lessons learned into program plans.
• Design and develop leadership skill based programs for management and employees.
• Develop learning activities, audio-visual materials, instructor guides and lesson plans.
• Review evaluations of training courses, objectives and accomplishments.
• Make assessments of effectiveness of training in terms of employee accomplishments and performance.
• Consults with management on performance, organizational and leadership matters. Conducts needs assessments to determine measures required to enhance employee job performance and overall company performance.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree: Degree in training and development or organizational development preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of training experience, and at least two years of management experience.
• Experience designing and implementing effective training and development programs.
• CPLP credential, preferred.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
• Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven effective management skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to travel overnight by car and by plane.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
• Consistent and reliable attendance.
