    Job Description

    Reporting to the Livingston Plant Manager (FSO & Retail), the Production Manager will be responsible for managing the Production Operations of the Livingston Plant.  The role will encompass meeting annual production targets and metrics within specified quality, environmental and budgetary standards.  Responsible for ensuring equipment is functioning correctly and that health and safety protocols are followed.  Assist the Livingston Plant Manager with providing direction to employees in production, distribution, warehousing, sanitation and maintenance. The position will include frequent contact with Live Production, Quality Control, Technical Services, Human Resources, Accounting, Commodities, Legal, and USDA. 

    • Manage the manufacturing process within the defined safety and quality standards.
    • Manager and monitor the activities of production superintendents and supervisors in order to ensure efficient operation of the plant.
    • Adherence to the production plan and schedule.
    • Assist the Plant Manager in preparation of annual budgets proposals, providing assessment and estimates of product, materials and staffing requirements for the production forecasted.  
    • Implement and foster a continuous improvement environment. 
    • Adherence to site and business protocols.

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Business Administration or related fields.
    • 7 to 10 years of progressively responsible management in the food processing industry, preferably in the poultry business.
    • Demonstrated financial understanding to include budgeting, staffing, and cost analysis.
    • Demonstrated leadership skills and drive.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Strong oral and written communications skills and the ability to work in both individual and team work settings.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, financial software, etc.
