  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
    • Supplemental Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Applies existing and acquired environmental knowledge and skills to solving environmental problems, improving work practices and correcting discovered non-compliant activities.
    •  Provides other plant employees with annual environmental training appropriate to his/her level of expertise and knowledge.
    •  Assists Environmental Affairs Manager or Environmental Affairs Manager’s representatives with annual corporate compliance auditing of candidate’s assigned facility(ies).
    • Performs clerical environmental tasks as required for his/her specific facility.
    • Collects, manages and correlates environmental data, and prepares recommendations for including into new or existing programs as needed.
    •  Must be able and willing to broaden his/her environmental knowledge in environmental disciplines.
    • Environmental Affairs Manager advises Environmental Coordinator of changing regulations affecting his/her facility/area.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Must have a minimum five (5) years experience on heavy duty truck repair.  Formal training preferred.
    • Supervisory experience preferred.
    • Must be able to read and understand technical material and explain to personnel.
    • Must possess a Class A driver’s license and a clean DMV printout.
    • Must have good leadership skills.
    • Must be able to work overtime as needed.
    • Must have good interpersonal skills.
    • Electronic/electrical experience required.
    • Candidate must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the operations of the plant, hatchery, ranch, feedmill or other facility at which he/she works and apply a general knowledge of environmental regulations to those operations.  Candidate must hold a supervisory position and have the authority to direct the environmental activities of other workers.  Candidate must be willing to learn and capable of understanding basic regulatory concepts and performing general and specialized environmental assignments as required by regulatory agencies under the guidance of the Environmental Affairs Manager.  He/she must integrate his/her recognized knowledge of operations at his/her assigned facility with environmental compliance activities and provide primary plant leadership on all routine environmental compliance efforts.
    • Must be able to submit and pass criminal background check.
