    Job Description

    Purpose of Position: Responsible for providing administrative and clerical support for the Human Resources department to run smoothly in the day-to-day operations.

    Essential Job Functions:

    New Hire Process: Administer the Uniform Hiring and Selection Procedure for entry level union positions at Fernando’s. Schedule drug screens and run backgrounds. Conduct orientations and process new hire paperwork.

    Post all open union positions, determine successful bidders, notify supervision, complete PAFs with appropriate changes, log/close all union positions once filled (both internal transfers and external hires).

    Assist with coordination of service award presentations, complete memo for distribution to all management, order cakes, and help with set up.

    Answer phones, type, help with counter questions, help problem solve various issues within job parameters, and translate memos to Spanish as needed.

    Other duties as assigned.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

    High School graduate or equivalent; AA degree preferred

    1 to 2 years of experience in Human Resources Generalist function     

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Good interpersonal skills

    Bi-lingual (English/Spanish)

    Excellent computer skills (Word & Excel)

    HRIS experience preferred (Lawson/PeopleSoft)

    Ability to handle multi-tasks/projects in a fast-paced environment
