Our law firm is seeking a Family Attorney who can assist clients in navigating the sensitive legal issues of family law, including Divorce, Legitimation, child custody, and child support issues. You will have the opportunity to learn from senior associates and litigation associates on legal issues and will provide legal counsel to existing clients. You’ll also be responsible for performing legal research, drafting documents, and keeping client files up to date. Responsibilities: • Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, marital settlement agreements, judgements, and orders for a high volume of cases • Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current • Represent clients in court proceedings as needed • Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action • Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed Qualifications: • At least 1-2 years of working in a law firm on family law issues as well as real estate (determining marital property) is necessary • Ability to successfully represent both plaintiff and defendant sides of a case • Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required Compensation: $72,000 - $95,000 yearly
