    We are seeking a Criminal Defense Attorney, licensed in the State of Georgia, with at least 2 years of experience, including motion practice experience, who is passionate about helping people. We are not your typical small law firm. Our entrepreneurial law firm is poised for aggressive growth, and we’re looking for an attorney who can hit the ground running to give our clients outstanding representation. Ideal candidates have 2 or more years of experience in criminal law or have strong litigation experience and can demonstrate the ability to learn quickly. We are looking for a team player willing to take ownership of a client’s case, including direct contact with clients and opposing counsel, drafting pleadings, conducting investigations, arguing motions, pretrial hearings, and trials. You will need to have strong skills in the following areas: research, writing, courtroom presentation, and common technology. Skills and experience are appreciated and valued, and certainly considered, but your personality, character, intelligence, and integrity are also extremely important considerations. Salary is commensurate with skill and experience and is negotiable. We offer paid time off, pay for continuing legal education, bar dues, and E&O insurance. Responsibilities: • Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings • Assist clients in determining a proper solution to legal conflicts and determine the best course of action • Attend court hearings or other legal proceedings, perform legal research, and work with senior associate attorneys to provide legal advice • Collaborate with clients and senior associates and other staff to move cases toward resolution efficiently • Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff Qualifications: • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school • Willingness to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base • Candidates must have passed the bar exam • Solid communication skills and problem-solving skills required in order to work with clients, staff members and senior attorneys Compensation: $69,000 - $85,000 yearly
