GRANTS MANAGEMENT INTERN
JOB TYPE: Part Time – 32 Hours Per Week
LOCATION: Washington, D.C., remote work available
SALARY: $17.00 per hour
FFAR is seeking a Grants Management Intern to assist the Grants Management Team through administrative functions. The ideal candidate will be a student seeking a seasonal position who is willing to provide support and work in a team-environment and individually.
The Grants Management Intern will obtain a clear understanding of the process of managing grants awarded or co-funded by FFAR. The intern will complete projects that contribute to the overall success of FFAR’s grants management activities and will complete duties including, but not limited to assisting in the collection and compiling data from past projects, writing and general administrative tasks towards the objective of sharing the impact of FFAR’s work with current and future funders.
This position requires excellent interpersonal and writing skills, a high level of organization and focus and an ability to work under tight deadlines.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Provides administrative support for the grants program, including operating in the grants management system.
· Compile and enter grants data and provide status updates and reports to direct supervisor.
· Maintain proper files and documents for the grants program.
· Additional duties and responsibilities will be assigned as needed, including supporting other FFAR departments.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Communication proficiency including excellent written and verbal skills.
· Strong interpersonal skills, with experience representing an organization via correspondence and in-person interactions.
· Highly organized multi-tasker who works well in a fast-paced environment.
· Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
· Self-motivated with ability to do detailed work accurately.
· Willingness to learn.
· Ability to demonstrate tact, diplomacy, and initiative.
· A positive, professional attitude.

ADDITIONAL Information
This position requires long periods of working on a computer. There may be potential for travel when it is safe to do so, but travel would be limited. Must have the ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
