Our law firm is seeking an experienced family law attorney who can assist our clients in navigating the sensitive legal issues of family law, including divorce, child custody, guardianship of a minor, and post-final judgment modification and contempt actions. Many of our clients are also survivors of domestic violence and/or coercive control. Jobseekers should be equally familiar with prenuptial agreements and be able to effectively engage in oral debate and negotiation even in highly stressful and emotional situations. If you are driven by an opportunity to help people during one of the most difficult times in their lives and have a proven track record of success, we welcome you to apply. $80,000 - $100,000+ yearly (dependent upon monthly billable hour requirement) plus bonus compensation available Responsibilities: • Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed • Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action • Communicate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move through the civil litigation process • Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, marital settlement agreements, judgements, and orders for a high volume of cases • Keep client files properly organized and up to date • Ensure timely communication with clients Qualifications: • Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations • Licensed in Massachusetts (required), Rhode Island (preferred) • At least 2-3 years of family law practice Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000 + yearly
