    About Silana

At Silana , we're building the first autonomous robotic sewing systems - reshoring garment production with intelligent automation. We're a deep-tech startup backed by top-tier investors, blending robotics, vision, and mechanical design to solve one of the toughest problems in apparel manufacturing.

We're shipping our first machine, preparing investor demos, and gearing up for Series A. To stay fast and focused, our founder in NYC is hiring a Founder's Associate — a sharp generalist who can turn ideas into action, bring order to chaos, and help run the engine behind the scenes.

    About the Role

This is a high-trust, high-impact role for someone who thrives on variety and momentum. You'll work directly with the founder across operations, hiring, logistics, and internal execution.

You won't just assist — you'll own. Whether it's writing an onboarding guide, prepping a demo, scheduling interviews, or enforcing workspace norms, your job is to make sure it gets done — quickly, cleanly, and without needing to be asked twice.

    What You'll Do

    • Turn rough ideas into real outcomes - slides, docs, policies, or task plans

    • Own small logistics (e.g. packages, supplies, workspace upkeep, vendor coordination)

    • Coordinate hiring - from sourcing to screening to scheduling

    • Draft and implement internal processes (onboarding, reviews, workspace rules)

    • Prepare investor and customer demos (logistics, setup, materials)

    • Track open tasks and keep priorities moving in Slack, Confluence, and Clickup

    • Support the founder across day-to-day operations and project execution

    You're a Fit If You…

    • Have 2-4 years experience in ops, people, EA, chief of staff, or startup generalist roles

    • Write clearly, organize fast, and thrive in ambiguity

    • Take initiative and get things done without waiting for direction

    • Are comfortable in a physical workspace — not just behind a laptop

    • Care about quality and know how to move fast without being sloppy

    • Want direct exposure to founders and real impact from day one

    Bonus Points

    • Worked directly with a founder or exec team

    • Familiar with Confluence, Breezy, Slack

    • Experience in early-stage tech or hardware startups

    What You Get

    • Work directly with the founder of one of NYC's most ambitious robotics startups

    • Visibility into hiring, fundraising, engineering, and more

    • Ownership over real, varied workstreams that matter

    • A chance to help build the foundation of something big - and hard
