Founding Account Executive (AI / GTM Platform)

San Francisco, CA

Paid
  • Responsibilities

We're working with an early-stage, well-funded startup building an AI-driven product focused on helping revenue teams make faster, better decisions.

The team is small, backed by top-tier investors, and has a clear path toward rapid growth.

This is the first sales hire, not joining an existing playbook, but helping build it from the ground up. You'll work directly with the CEO to define the sales motion, own the full cycle, and shape how the product is brought to market.

It's a high-impact role with a clear path into sales leadership as the team scales.

    What You'll Do

    • Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, demo, close, and expansion
    • Build relationships with senior revenue leaders (VP Sales, CRO, RevOps)
    • Partner closely with the CEO and marketing to refine messaging and positioning
    • Run creative, high-impact demos that show real value (not scripted walkthroughs)
    • Help define and iterate on the company's go-to-market motion
    • Contribute to early pipeline strategy, account targeting, and outbound approach

    What We're Looking For

    • 4–6 years of B2B SaaS sales experience (ideally in GTM, data, or adjacent space)
    • Prior experience at a startup or early-stage company
    • Comfortable owning deals end-to-end and operating without structure
    • Strong discovery skills, able to understand real customer problems, not just pitch
    • Interest in building something from 0→1 and growing into a leadership role
    • Curious and adaptable, especially around AI tools and evolving workflows

    Why This Role

    • Founding role with direct impact on company trajectory
    • Clear path into sales leadership as the team scales
    • Strong product with real differentiation in a fast-growing category
    • High ownership and visibility from day one
    • In-office, collaborative environment in San Francisco
