    What you'll do

    • Build and maintain UI and API updates across the Factron platform, from the RCA engine through to the front end.
    • Design and build Settings and Dev Admin capabilities, giving the team and pilot customers reliable ways to configure and operate the platform.
    • Design and build Exec View and OEE reporting functionality — the surfaces plant leadership and executives use to see performance at a glance.
    • Develop agents that dynamically visualize what is happening on the factory floor in real time.
    • Hold code quality and engineering standards to a high bar in an era of agentic coding assistants — develop comprehensive unit tests, integration tests, end-to-end tests, and smoke tests so the platform ships with confidence.
    • Work with Data Engineering to develop, design and maintain Factron unified data model
    • Work with DevOps engineers to design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and ensure high quality SLDC standards

    What we're looking for

    • Strong experience with React or Angular, JavaScript, and CSS.
    • Strong Python experience, with hands-on API development.
    • Experience working with cloud-based databases.
    • Comfortable moving fast and owning a feature end to end, from API to UI

    Nice to have

    • Cloud-based networking and security experience.
    • Experience integrating with OPC-UA (Allen-Bradley, Siemens), MTConnect, or Fanuc FOCAS.
    • Prior experience at a pre-seed to Series A startup.

    Contract, compensation & growth path

    • This is a contractor role, reporting directly to the CTO.
    • Competitive pay for the contract — specific rate to be discussed directly with candidates.
    • Factron is funded, with the runway to bring the right person on properly.
    • Direct exposure to a high-caliber founding team, and to the Fortune 500 manufacturers Factron is piloting with.
    • Strong delivery on this contract opens the door to converting to a full-time role with an equity award.
