    Job Overview:

We are seeking a Foundry Supervisor/Metallurgist with robust, hands-on foundry experience to deliver turnkey manufacturing solutions to industrial clients working with metal and plastic components. This role involves direct collaboration with customers to ensure optimal manufacturability of metal components, assessing and recommending metallurgical processes, and providing technical expertise throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.

Must possess direct foundry experience, particularly in molten metal processing, casting, and working with the pour line. This is not a lab or heat-treatment role; it demands practical, floor-level foundry involvement.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Engineering, or a related field
    • Hands-on experience in foundry operations, including molten metal processing and casting
    • Experience working directly on the pour line in a foundry setting
    • Some supervisory experience is highly preferred
    • Foundry quality control experience
    • Ability to travel to client sites within the assigned territory. With 4-5 nights a month, overnight stays.

    Preferred Requirements:

    • Experience in defect analysis of castings
    • Knowledge of both ferrous and non-ferrous casting processes
    • Expertise in nondestructive examinations (Visual, Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant, Radiography, Pressure, and Ultrasonic testing)
    • Background in materials science engineering

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate directly with customers to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability
    • Assess and recommend the best manufacturing processes or metallurgical options from prototyping to production
    • Identify and troubleshoot part quality issues by liaising with the foundry and machining facilities
    • Conduct audits of off-site foundries and other suppliers
    • Support account managers by providing technical expertise to enhance their sales efforts

Our client offers a competitive compensation package, comprehensive benefits, and a dynamic work environment. This position requires regional travel. Relocation support is available for the right candidate.
