    Job Description

    Four Hands Art Studio is looking to hire a Product Development Specialist to be responsible for curating and developing art products for multiple major customers. This person should have the ability to identify new trends in the home and fashion industries and be able to translate them into sellable goods. A strong candidate will embody the skills needed to actively work with our manufacturing team and internal development team on product cost, construction, and quality assurance. This is a key results-driven role on the Four Hands Art Studio Product Development team that will have a direct impact on our customer product offerings. This Product Development Specialist will report to the Four Hands Art Studio Product Development Manager.

    IN THIS ROLE

    • Partner with Account Executives and assigned Customers to achieve maximum results from major customer relationships
    • Curate assortments for retailer, commercial, hospitality and design proposals in mid to high-end markets with a focus on content and product specifications
    • Prepare professional, branded presentations for external customer use
    • Support new customer acquisition
    • Help oversee that all product milestones are met in the product life cycle
    • Track and manage samples of new product and maintain data and communications with customers
    • Effectively facilitate communication to ensure that all stakeholders are informed
    • Coordinate customer needs by communicating with all departments within the company to achieve results
    • Oversee processes to ensure departments are on schedule and provide updates to customers and Account Executives as needed
    • Determine customer service and quality requirements by maintaining consistent contact with major customers and Account Executives, analyzing information and providing solutions
    • Maintain and improve customer-service quality: resolve problems, identifying customer service trends, determining system improvements, and implement change
    • Coordinate new product implementation, presentations, training materials, and product information
    • Provide World Class Customer Service
    • Responsible for upholding the Core Values and being a valuable member of the Four Hands Team
    • Other tasks as defined by Management

    THE IDEAL PERSON

    • 2+ years of experience in content and product development in art/home furnishings
    • Ability to travel up to 25% of the year, to develop new product and market visits
    • Strong understanding of art construction, finish and packaging techniques
    • Understanding of content curations and pairing with a finished product
    • Knowledge of proactive costing and product engineering techniques
    • Ability to develop product that is on-brand and within customer specifications
    • Excellent time and calendar management skills with the ability to hit product deadlines
    • High attention to detail and ability to create BOM level product specifications
    • Strong communication skills, and the ability to communicate through language barriers

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • BA or BBA in Merchandising, Industrial Design, Art History or related fields
