    The Four Points by Sheraton Cincinnati North is looking seeking to add a Cook to our Culinary team!

    Job Summary:

    To prepare and cook all food products as required by the Executive Chef and the banquet menus. To keep the kitchen clean, neat, and organized at all times. To help do all other duties in the kitchen including ware washing, receiving, and taking of inventories.

    Essential Functions:

    Sets up workstation as required including turning on all equipment necessary for the days functions.

    Show up for work on time and in proper uniform (clean, neat and well groomed. Chef coat, black non- slip shoes, white tee shirt, chef pants, apron and hat.)

    Clean, cut, cook and properly store meat, fish and poultry

    Prepares all food items required for levels of business.

    Ensures the highest quality, presentation and freshness of all foods served.

    Sweeps & mops kitchen floors at end of each meal period and after each spill; empties and cleans all trash cans when full or at the end of shift

    Assist in stocking and rotating food items on a daily basis

    Assist in the taking of monthly inventories.

    Stocks paper towels and hand soap at both hand sinks in kitchen.

    Cleans kitchen equipment such as vent hoods, steam tables, hot boxes, vapor box, carts, speed racks, ovens, grills ECT; cleans and organizes storerooms.

    Notifies supervisor of any malfunctioning equipment or unsafe conditions.

    Prep certain staple foods (salads, cut potatoes, cut meat etc.)

    Duties are as stated but not limited to the above; and whatever the supervisor requests

    Physical Requirements:These physical demands represent the physical requirements necessary for an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodation can be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the described essential functions of this position.

    Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry a weight of 25lbs.

    Must be able to work walking and or standing continuously for a period of 8 hours.

    Associate may have to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

    Associate is often required to sit and use his or her hands and fingers to handle or fell

    Vision abilities required by this job include close vision

    Associate must talk and hear

    Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities

    High School Diploma or equivalent

    Minimum of (1) years experience in banquet cooking or related position

    Possesses excellent communication skills

    Understanding of basic math

    Excellent guest service skills
