Ecommerce Design Specialist (Hybrid)
Job Description
As a company, Four Star has never been content to "rest on our laurels". When we first developed our Ecommerce division here at Four Star Greenhouse, we were one of the few suppliers shipping plants directly to the consumer's door. Since then, we have continued to develop our processes and methods to make sure we remained at the forefront of this industry trend.
Ecommerce at Four Star Greenhouse has been the fastest growing aspect of our business for several years. It is our intention to keep this momentum going. Therefore, we are looking to add some high performing people to our ambitious team. If selected, you'll be an integral part of a small and highly collaborative Marketing team, contributing new ideas that will continue to keep Four Star Greenhouse at the forefront of our industry. We are looking to add three positions to our growing team.
We are looking for a creative individual who can design and implement innovative visuals that effectively promote our products and create an engaging experience for our customers on the Proven Winners Direct (PWD) website.

This is a full time, hybrid position based out of Carleton Michigan. Starting pay may increase based on relevant skills, experience and education. We offer the opportunity for a merit increase after 90 days and annually thereafter.
JOB SUMMARY: Design and implement innovative visuals that effectively promote our products and create an engaging experience for our customers on the Proven Winners Direct (PWD) website. Collaborate effectively with the team to share and utilize feedback in a way that ensures that all content keeps Four Star at the forefront of the industry and meets established growth expectations. Consistently produce content and complete all routine and non-routine tasks in a manner that demonstrates the highest level of attention to detail within a fast-paced environment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Design the aesthetics for our website and products, from the layout menus and drop-down options to colors and fonts and other aspects as needed to make the experience easy for our customers and to meet growth expectations.
2. Collaborate with the project team to determine visual design preferences and expectations for each project.
3. Take new photos as needed and utilize existing photography for product pages and our website. Enhance images when needed.
4. Create multiple specifications of a design according to the needs of the project, including mobile and web versions.
5. Create overall concepts for the user experience within a business webpage or product, ensuring all interactions are intuitive and easy for customers.
6. Collaborate with IT developers to align visual designs with website functionality.
7. Submit visual design concepts for brainstorming and approval within specified deadlines.
8. Meet with the project team for feedback and edit designs, when required.
9. Effectively manage the PWD homepage and landing pages including creating banners, graphics and updating the shopping platform so that the customer is engaged with accurate information.
10. Effectively manage sales and promotions on our website. Update marketing language and images on the homepage and landing pages, adjust pricing, and front-end and back-end flows to meet or exceed growth expectations or company expectations.
11. Establish and maintain SOPs for all aspects of your work and share them with your supervisor.
12. Collaborate effectively with other departments to create a seamless experience for customers.
13. Keep up with advancements in visual design technologies and applications. Regularly introduce new concepts, technology or other trends to the team. Quickly learn and adapt to new systems, company specific computer programs and other new technology or processes to ensure that Four Star maintains its position as an industry leader.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
1. Demonstrate more than a basic knowledge of computers and applications, CRMs, and Ecommerce platforms, including Word, Outlook, Excel, Salesforce, Shopify, etc.

4. Self-educate in order to become an expert on each relevant aspect of our business as it relates to Ecommerce sales and marketing.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Minimum 2 years' experience in a customer experience role or similar position.
2. Minimum 2 years' experience with Shopify or similar platform preferred.
3. Salesforce and Shogun experience is a plus but is not a necessity.
4. Relevant college course work preferred.
PHYSICAL ASPECTS:
1. Lifting minimum of 30 lbs.
2. Employee may be exposed to temperatures that can be 10-20 degrees above outside temperatures seasonally.
3. Bulk of time is spent at a desk utilizing a computer.
