    Job Description

    A food company is looking for a Sales Manager for their Orange County, CA location. This is a direct-hire position with 50% travel.

    JOB SUMMARY:

    Coordinate all sales objectives and programs as deemed important and necessary by Headquarters. Expand or increase sales of products via brokers to customers and accounts. Obtain current market and trend information in sales territory to assist in sales efforts. Must be creative in forming new sales tactics.

    GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Discuss with supervisor all sales targets for specific areas
    • Be informed of company directives and any changes made to those directives while insuring compliance to them as they occur
    • Contact and call on brokers, distributors, customers, and clients frequently in order to establish a relationship and increase sales
    • Develop new customers while maintaining and expanding current customer list
    • Seek out and create a plan for discovering new opportunities to sell products
    • Create approach and follow through for the education of broker personnel on products and policies
    • Coordinate programs and promotions with brokers
    • Attend food shows for retail, food service, and industrial products
    • Work to instill initiative and enthusiasm in the broker community
    • Control credit and collections of major customers
    • Process, coordinator and initiate all paperwork that is related to the operation of the branch
    • Be available to entertain customers as needed

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's Degree from a four year college or university relating to business or marketing
    • Must come out of the Food Industry
