JOB SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of the Center’s IT Manager, the IT Associate provides support for information technology activities; provides the best in customer service while working as an ambassador for the live performing arts; and cultivates an active interest in the Center as the premier venue for performance art, education programming and as a gathering place for the community.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following are the primary/essential functions of the position but are not all-inclusive.
- Facilitate on-boarding and de-provisioning of users
- Installation, setup, configuration, and repair of desktop computer hardware, software, and peripheral.
- Setup, administer, and maintain user accounts over many systems.
- Provides technical support in the use of personal computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Systems problem resolution as assigned
- Serves as technical resource to the Center
- Acts as a customer liaison for the computing operation, communicating, resolving, and/or initiating the resolution of problems and concerns.
- Assist with IT project deployments and research
- Maintains, updates or creates systems, databases and web pages using front-end user-enhanced web tools within prescribed guidelines
- Assists with Network and server maintenance
- Monitors, operates, coordinates, assists and trains others in the operation of computer hardware, software, and peripherals in order to achieve desired result.
- Contributes to the center and departmental goals by accomplishing related duties as required
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
The following are the secondary functions of the position and are not all-inclusive.
- Complete other projects and duties as assigned.
- Work occasional nights and weekends.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- An associate degree is preferred or equivalent work experience with break-fix / networking in small to medium size business
- Two to five years of related experience providing customer service in a technological environment.
- Current industry certifications are a plus
IT Disciplines:
- Desktop infrastructure in a windows domain environment
- Security
- Networking
- Web development
- Scriptwriting
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Software experience must include Windows, MacOS, Microsoft Office, Office 365
- Hardware experience must include PC/Mac, mobile devices, and printer technology
- Security best practices including PCI compliance
- Cloud computing technologies such as Azure and AWS a plus
- Web development platform experience a plus.
- Basic knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, IPv4/IPv6 and routing technologies
