JOB SUMMARY
Help create the best guest experience by ensuring excellent and accurate customer service while selling and serving food and beverage at our events.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure an excellent guest experience as defined by the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center standards.
- Serve guests desired food and beverage selections in a welcoming and professional manner.
- Actively and consistently engage guests to increase sales opportunities including but not limited to; souvenir cups, intermission drinks, specialty selections, and pre-orders.
- Maintain the highest level of accuracy with product and cash handling meeting the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center standards.
- Maintain a safe environment and address concerns appropriately including but not limited to:
- Assist challenging guests
- Verify legal drinking age appropriately
- Follow health and safety protocols
- Keep a clean workspace and surrounding area throughout the shift
- Ensure storage rooms, bars, catering kitchen, and staff storage are consistently cleaned, organized, and stocked as directed by the supervisor.
- Communicate using a radio with staff and supervisors in accordance with the Center's standards for radio etiquette.
- Complete cash handling reports and forms as required.
- Adhere to the dress code at all times throughout the shift.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
- Direct guests with confidence throughout the front of house including but not limited to; seating locations, event spaces, restrooms, and ADA services.
- Assist with valet service as needed to provide efficient guest service, including but not limited to; cash handling and administering keys appropriately.
- Provide a custom guest experience as a suite attendant at private events and specific service locations which required advanced skills and training including but not limited to;
- Ability to use critical thought to understand and address the needs of the guest appropriately.
- Attend to the entire service location to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
- Effectively communicate with other teams to ensure event success.
- Knowledge and understanding of premium wine selections.
- Knowledge and understanding of donor lounge and suite benefits.
- Recognize frequent guests and donors.
- Actively engage guests to support Center initiatives, including but not limited to seasonal fundraising campaigns.
- Attend Center trainings and meetings as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Age 18 or older with 1 year bartending, cash handling and/or customer service experience required.
- Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid City of Appleton bartending license.
- All employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and will be required to submit proof of vaccination. Medical or religious accommodation requests may be submitted post-offer pre-employment.
