    Job Description

    FoxFarm Soil & Fertilizer, a micro-brewery of premium plant nutrients and soil mixes is seeking a sales representative for the Northern California Region to call on Garden Centers, Hardware stores, Farm and Feed, and Hydroponic supply stores located in Northern California and Northern Nevada.

    The position operates out of a home office and is full-time, with competitive pay and employee benefits. The job requires frequent overnight travel, a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record.

    ​A qualified candidate will have a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree or at least 1-4 years of industry-related experience in retail or as a professional sales representative. The candidate should also have customer service experience, fantastic public speaking skills, excellent communication skills, maintain a professional demeanor, and be capable of demonstrating an understanding of our industry.

     

    SALES REPRESENTATIVE KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND EXPERIENCE:

    The Sales Representative is responsible for passionately and expertly educating the market and customers on FoxFarm Soil & Fertilizer Company products and providing excellent customer service. The Sales Representative efficiently and effectively achieves the goals of the position, department, and company. Frequent overnight travel is required.

    • Industry experience preferred.
    • BA/BS
    • 1-4 years of professional experience in sales representation or retail sales.
    • Knowledge of traditional/mainstream gardening practices and methods.
    • Highly evolved customer service skills.

    SALES REPRESENTATIVE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Brand ambassador to promote FoxFarm Soil & Fertilizer Products to retailers, distributors, and end-users.
    • Frequent travel to attend events, build relationships, and monitor/manage markets.
    • Outgoing personality in order to connect with people, conduct education seminars, and expand brand awareness.
