Maintenance Technician

We are currently seeking the ideal candidate to fill a Maintenance Technician role at our Foxtail Foods plant in Cincinnati, OH who would be responsible for performing a variety of facility repairs, cleaning, painting, and preventative maintenance. This person will assure the operating viability and appearance of the facility’s building, systems and equipment, in order to support a pleasant and safe work environment.

Candidates preferred to have strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize work and maintain multiple projects simultaneously, exemplary customer service and problem-solving skills, proven integrity in maintaining confidential issues, and excellent communication skills (verbal and written). A high school diploma is required and some college is preferred. Candidates preferred to have a minimum of 2 years of experience preferably in Facility’s Maintenance, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Painting or Mechanical. Candidates preferred to have basic computer skills. The physical demands of the job require the ability to perform building and equipment repair inside and outside, in extreme weather conditions, lift and carry weights over 50 lbs. and work at heights in excess of 20 feet.

Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

Daily walk through / checklist

Light bulbs, ballasts and general electrical; Basic plumbing repair

Repair doors, hardware, warehouse racking; Plant and equipment painting as required

Basic office furniture repair; Moves of furniture, bookshelves, file cabinets, etc.

Hang whiteboards, corkboards, shelves, pictures, and basic office displays

Drywall & floor repair

General outdoor cleaning around walkways, entrances & dock areas

Winter months salt general areas before and during work hours if necessary

Maintain order & cleanliness on an on-going basis; Sweeping, cleaning as directed

Respond to spills and emergency calls

Wear communication device while on duty and respond as appropriate

Ensure all services provided to the facility are done effectively

Use of ladders, man lift, and forklift required

Complete all other duties as assigned

Incumbent may be scheduled for any shift and any day, including holidays
