Position Overview
National Real Estate Management Group is seeking a dependable and service-oriented Office Assistant to support the daily operations of our properties in the Moses Lake area. This is not a traditional desk-based office assistant position. The role will primarily assist with resident communication, maintenance coordination, property visits, inspections, vendor follow-up, and other property management activities.
This is a hybrid position that combines remote administrative work with in-person property visits and occasional office responsibilities. Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance of Moses Lake and be available to visit assigned properties as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to resident questions, requests, and routine concerns
Receive maintenance requests and coordinate scheduling with vendors and maintenance personnel
Track open work orders and follow up to confirm timely completion
Conduct or assist with routine property, unit, move-in, and move-out inspections
Document property conditions and prepare inspection reports
Assist with resident move-ins, move-outs, and lease-related documentation
Communicate reminders, notices, and other approved information to residents
Assist with rental inquiries, application processing, and showing coordination
Monitor vacant units and help coordinate cleaning, repairs, and unit readiness
Meet vendors at properties and verify completion of assigned work
Help obtain estimates and maintain vendor and property records
Report safety, maintenance, or property concerns to management
Maintain accurate information in the property management system
Assist with rent-related communication and recordkeeping as directed
Provide limited general administrative support when needed
Follow company policies and applicable fair housing requirements
Perform other property management support duties as assigned
Qualifications
At least one year of office experience, housing, customer service, administrative, or related experience preferred
Strong communication and resident-service skills
Organized, dependable, and able to follow through on open items
Comfortable visiting properties and interacting with residents, vendors, and maintenance personnel
Able to manage multiple priorities with limited supervision
Basic proficiency with email, Google platform, and online business systems
Ability to learn property management software
Sound judgment when handling confidential or sensitive information
Ability to travel locally between assigned properties
Ability to perform the physical requirements associated with property inspections, including walking properties and using stairs
Hybrid Work Expectations
This role is hybrid, but it is not fully remote. The employee will work remotely when completing eligible administrative duties and will also be expected to visit properties, meet vendors, assist residents, attend meetings, and work from the local office when business needs require.
