  • Responsibilities

    Primary Purpose: Preserve and organize the College of Law archives and support library services for students, faculty, and staff.

    **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    **

    • Assists in preparing law library displays.
    • Works regularly scheduled hours at the circulation desk.
    • Participates, as needed, in the following:
      • interlibrary loans
      • study room reservations
      • maintenance of course reserves materials
      • maintenance of patron records
      • maintenance of library office equipment including printers, copiers and microform reader/printers
      • assist in receiving, sorting and processing incoming and outgoing campus mail
      • assist in maintenance/revision of policy and procedure manuals
    • Maintains a collaborative work environment and works well with others.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills

    High school diploma/GED required. At least 2 years library experience required, preferably in an academic or public library. Should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong customer service skills. Ability to work as a positive team player. Good organization skills, flexibility, the ability to multi-task, sound judgment and a high level of interpersonal skills are required. Must be detail-oriented with excellent follow-through. Customer service training and experience preferred. Flexibility to work outside the normal assigned schedule when requested. Works to build an environment that promotes and facilitates the success of Diversity and Inclusive Excellence.
