GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE
This position is responsible for operating dryers and/or hoists to ensure product is dried to Dole standards.
Required Skills
** MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION**
- Move product from wash tanks to dryers to elevators.
- Use hand and eye coordination to operate overhead conveyor/hoist system.
- Maintain a steady flow of product out of dryer room and onto the scale mezzanine.
- Inspect product and equipment for possible contaminants.
- Extensive climbing, pushing and pulling throughout shift.
- Ability to quickly react to fast-paced and constant maneuvering of dryer baskets and carts between wash system, dryer deck and elevators.
- Inspect food and equipment for possible contaminants.
- Any and all other duties assigned by your Supervisor.
Required Experience
** JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES**
- EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in a food processing facility is desired, but not required. Willing to train.
- SKILLS: Must have good oral communication skills.
- ADDITIONAL : Hands-on ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented food processing environment. Required to work independently and with limited supervision. Must be able to maintain regular and acceptable attendance, follow directions, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow posted work rules/ procedures.
