  • Responsibilities

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Under minimum supervision, provide pre-sales technical consultancy for Robot/Automation Industry applications and support to key accounts. Deliver technical training and application support to customers, distributors and MEAU personnel.

    POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    ACTIVITY & ESSENTIAL FUNCTION IDENTIFICATION                                                           

     Provide pre- and post-sale technical support to key customers, key distributors and MEAU sales personnel on Mitsubishi Robot based solutions - on-site, via phone, email or via SI/OEM, as appropriate. Technical support includes, but is not limited to, these activities:     

    • Provide on-site application engineering and product consulting.
    • Advise on applications related with products and devices related with Robot applications (Vision, Pneumatics, Mechanical devices, Sensors, Tooling, EOAT.)
    • Desirable to know about Robot palletizing and machine tending CNC solutions
    • Serve as the escalated technical resource, subject matter expert (SME), to System Integrators, Direct accounts and top distributors
    • Maintain technical documents and documentation on MEAU products, as assigned.
    • Develop technical/application notes where applicable, detailing start-up procedures of new products.
    • Maintain current knowledge of new products and applications, through self-study, hands-on testing of demo units, and seminar attendance.

    Provide technical product and solution training to customers, distributors and MEAU personnel on Mitsubishi products. Actively identify opportunities for custom training classes.

    Develop and deliver technical presentations to internal and external customers.

    Document support case data utilizing Sales Forces.

    PERFORM OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.SUPERVISORY / MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

    •  No direct reports.

     

    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

    • 50-60% travel based on customer demand, primarily with in region: (Bajio area, Guadalajara, Norte area as main locations)

    Required Skills Required Experience

    ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Mechatronics Engineering, Robotics or equivalent experience.
    • 5-7 years of application experience with industrial automation products.
    • Experience with Robots required and desirable for CNC machine tool
    • Proficient with PLC, VFD, HMI, Servo, Control Networks and other industrial automation applications.
    • Ability to develop and maintain in-depth, up-to-date technical knowledge, including the latest MEAU products, and to serve as escalated technical resource (SME).
    • Solid written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills, bi-lingual in English & Spanish required
    • Solid Technical writing and some Project management skills as a plus
    • Ability to operate effectively as part of a team.
    • Customer service and phone skills.

     

    BENEFICIAL EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    •  Strong background in Robot, PLC, Servo and networking.
    • IEC 1131 programming standard knowledge
    • Ability to discuss customer application requirements on phone or in person
    • Additional experience in Computerized Numeric Controls (CNCs) products preferred.
    • Experience in application project development and field service a plus.

     

    PHYSICAL, ENVIRONMENTAL, COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS

    • Must be able to work either in the office or at home office (telecommute) if needed.
    • Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods according to travel requirements or customer facilities.
    • Must be able to drive a car as required and handle and lift demo equipment and/or marketing products (10+ kilos).
    • Must be able to assembly, connect and test FA products & robots at shop to validate applications

     

  • Qualifications

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Must have DoD Unified Capability (UC), Voice Over IP (VOIP), and eVOIP experience in order to provide engineering, planning, testing, and management experience to support DoD Gateways.
    • Working knowledge of implementing DoDAF architectures and associated design plans.
    • Experience developing and implementing system design plans.
    • Documented experience in creating High Level Architecture Diagrams.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory (AD) configuration and setting AD servers and their domain controllers.
    • Must have experience with conducting Security Test and Evaluations under the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF), understanding of risk management practices and security program development including change management, access control, and physical security.
    • Must be knowledgeable with the Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and have IP network and security engineering experience including a basic understanding of IP routing, quality of service mechanisms, MPLS, and IPsec architectures.
    • Ability to oversee the development of network solutions, user requirements and alignment and business case development.
    • Provide technical and operational input to develop CONOPS and applicable training material.
    • Hands on experience installing, configuring, administering and operating Tenable Security Center and Nessus Scanner, known as Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) in the DoD environment.
    • Hands on experience with Vulnerability Management System (VMS), Host Based Security System (HBSS) and eMASS.
    • Demonstrated knowledge to provide Information Assurance (IA) support to coordinate and obtain Interim and Final approvals to test and operate, to include C&A support, mitigation strategies and techniques, tracking, assessment, testing and implementation updates, patches and upgrades in accordance with the IAVA directives issued by the USCYBERCOM and DISA CIO, and test plans, procedures and reports dealing with all levels of security products, systems, networks and architectures.

     

    DESIRED SKILLS: Broad knowledge and expertise with DoD network and enclave architecture and operations and associated standards for open systems architectures.
