    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Candidates must possess a current Florida Barber License. Under the general supervision of the department chair, candidates will teach organized classes in accordance with course descriptions, outlines and class schedules and must have strong knowledge of Milady teaching material. Instructor must be prepared to teach classes and run clinic floor, demonstrating to students a vast knowledge of shaving, clipper cutting and newest ethnic hairstyles for men. Strong computer skills are necessary to enter grades and keep up with student evaluations and student hours. During interview with the department chair, candidate should be prepared to perform a demo in a classroom setting, as well as, on the clinic floor.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:

    • Teach courses in accordance with college and departmental policies and procedures, as well as Basic Course  Information sheets.
    • Prepare and submit timely grade reports and other reports on student performance as may be scheduled or required.
    • Organize class activities and assignments, relating them to the overall learning outcomes of the course.
    • Provide input and work with other faculty and staff to review, produce and/ or select course-related materials.

     

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Extensive knowledge of the subject area(s) in which the individual is responsible for instruction.
    • Knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of effective communication and of effective instruction.
    • Knowledge and understanding of the characteristics and challenges of community college students.
    • Knowledge and understanding of principles of curriculum development.
    • Computer literate and able to navigate in a Windows environment.

     ADULT COMMUNITY CLINICAL SERVICES (ACCS) - ASSISTANT PROGRAM MANAGER - REQUIREMENTS:

    • Knowledge of Persons’ behavioral dynamics.
    • Knowledge related to treatment of Person population.
    • Ability to motivate, direct and supervise individuals and groups.
    • Demonstrates effective leadership.
    • Ability to respond effectively to crisis.
    • Ability to structure and organize job responsibilities independently.
    • Good writing and verbal skills.
    • Valid driver’s license; reliable transportation.
    • Will be required to pass CPR and First AID and MAP certification.
    • Physical and mental demands are located at end of job description.
    • ability to conduct Person intake and assessment.

    ASSISTANT PROGRAM MANAGER MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with psychiatric population.
    • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
    • Master’s degree in a mental health field from an accredited educational institution.
    • Must be a Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA), including LICSW, LCSW, LMHC, LADC1, Licensed Rehab Counselor, Physicians, Registered Nurse, Registered Occupational Therapist, and Psychologist.
