Job Description:
The VP of Real Estate and Construction is responsible for delivering and managing all Real Estate and Construction processes from site selection to project completion for Beloved Brands owner-operators. The role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in construction management, excellent communication & negotiation skills, and ability to manage in-house teams and vendor partners to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. A successful VP of Real Estate & Construction fosters communication and reporting amongst franchisees, brand partners and fellow functional leaders to ensure coordination, clarity and problem solving.
Duties and Responsibilities
Act as a liaison between Franworth and our brand partners regarding all Real Estate and Construction activities
Provide guidance and support to franchisees throughout the real estate and construction phases, addressing and ensuring smooth project completion
Develop a strong relationship with all brand leaders to proactively identify issues and implement solutions within processes, vendors, franchisees, etc.
Set real estate and build out strategies and resource plans for the brand portfolio
Select and manage real estate third party providers establishing clear site selection criteria, financial and approval processes for franchisees
Set construction and project management strategy for BB
Select and manage third party brand architects, adhering to brand design and standards
Select and manage Construction PM third parties establishing key performance metrics (e.g. time FA to CO)
Track and analyze all build out item 7 data
Ensure all brands have design and construction manuals and construction adheres to brand standards
Build internal BB capability to insource R/E and Construction PM capability
Work closely with the onboarding team for alignment on franchisee status and support throughout the entire opening process
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on franchise brands.
Proven track record of successfully managing multiple construction projects simultaneously.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
Ability to work under pressure, to meet short deadlines, and to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate and communicate seamlessly with all levels.
Strong decision-making skills.
