    Job Description

    We are a retail and wholesale business looking for a full charge bookkeeper in New Castle, DE.  We are looking for an energetic detail-oriented person that can handle a fast-paced book keeping environment.  This full time salaried position with 401K and employee health insurance once time requisites are met. 

    BOOKKEEPER RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

    • Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process. 
    • Reconcile sales taxes, payroll taxes, 401K and bank accounts at the end of each month. 
    • Monitor financial transactions and reports
    • Process accounts receivable and accounts payable 
    • Understand ledgers 
    • Work with CPA when necessary
    • Excellent knowledge of general accounting principles 
    • High school diploma 
    • At lease 2 year of bookkeeping experience, preferably within a business-service environment 
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Attention to detail and accuracy of work
    • Organization 
    • Experience with accounting software - Quickbooks and Excel 
    • Able to prepare, review and understand financial statements
