Job Description
We are a retail and wholesale business looking for a full charge bookkeeper in New Castle, DE. We are looking for an energetic detail-oriented person that can handle a fast-paced book keeping environment. This full time salaried position with 401K and employee health insurance once time requisites are met.
BOOKKEEPER RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS
- Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
- Reconcile sales taxes, payroll taxes, 401K and bank accounts at the end of each month.
- Monitor financial transactions and reports
- Process accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Understand ledgers
- Work with CPA when necessary
- Excellent knowledge of general accounting principles
- High school diploma
- At lease 2 year of bookkeeping experience, preferably within a business-service environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Attention to detail and accuracy of work
- Organization
- Experience with accounting software - Quickbooks and Excel
- Able to prepare, review and understand financial statements
