  • Responsibilities

    Applicants must:

    1. Have a valid driver’s license and their own transportation.

    2. Have a high school diploma or GED, and be able to read and write.

    3. Be at least 18 years of age.

    4. Have a permanent residence in NC, preference will be given to applicants who live within 45 miles of our shop.

    5. Present 3 references, with phone numbers, with at least 2 work related.

    6. Be able to pass a drug screening.

    7. Be able to pass an E-Verify screening.

    8. Submit a resume in writing.

    9. Be willing to travel to job sites up to 4 hours from our shop, per diem will be provided in these cases.

    10. Have OSHA 10 (this can be provided by the company and the cost taken out of their check over time, cost typically runs $90)

    11. Be able to pass a background check, and work on military/federal establishments.

    We are a Christian company and ask our employees to refrain from profanity, vulgarity, etc. while on our work sites.

    Applicants who meet the above requirements will be first interviewed over the phone, and then within 7 days only those who are selected will be notified and invited to an in-person interview. After an in-person interview, applicants will be notified either way of our decision on whether to hire them within 30 days.

    Employees will be working in a construction environment.

    Typical work hours are 10 hours per day M-T and will require overtime often on Friday and sometimes on Saturdays.

    Inclement weather may affect the ability to work since most of our work is outdoors.

    Employees will have the opportunity to advance in the company and learn the steel fabrication & erection trade including: welding, blueprint reading, heavy equipment operation, rigging for lifts, connecting steel members, decking operations, etc.

    New Employees will have a 90 day introductory period.

    PTO benefits are available after the 90 day introductory period.
