  • Responsibilities

    Growing Orthopedic practice is looking for an experienced Medical Office Manager with Ortho experience to oversee all clinical, administrative, and financial operations.

    General Summary of Duties:

    • Responsible for daily personnel management and oversight of operations.
    • Responsible for the daily enforcement of policies and procedures.
    • Time cards, pay roll and overseeing employees time sheets.
    • Responsible for oversight of collections activities/ tracking claims
    • Assists the physician and other staff in coordinating patient care.
    • Functions as the primary liaison among patient, vendors, staff and physicians.

    Responsibilities/Tasks:

    -Oversees daily office operations. Identifies and resolves operational problems,

    making necessary adjustments in works assignments as needed.

    -Plans and directs registration, insurance, office scheduling, surgery scheduling, billing, collections, and data processing to ensure efficient operations

    -Performs practice interviews, hires, supervises, trains and evaluates

    staff performance on a regularly scheduled basis.

    -Manages employee schedules and maintains time and attendance records.

    -Review and verifies time sheets. Assists with payroll preparation for employees.

    -Reconciles daily face sheets, creates daily bank deposits and weekly production

    reports

    -Responsible for adherence and training, as needed, of all staff and appropriate

    documentation to ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and other regulations

    -Maintains provider applications and credentialing information for all participating

    health plans.

    -Assists in preparing or producing monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reports.

    -Daily/weekly meetings with staff and providers.

    -Performs other related duties as directed or required.

    -Maintains patient confidentiality.

    Knowledge:

    -Front desk operations

    -Scheduling

    -Clinical operations

    -Process documentation

    -Insurance verification and authorizations (inpatient, outpatient, and office)

    -Surgery scheduling at multiple hospitals

    -Coding of surgical procedures

    -Billing, collections, and posting of payments

    -Credentialing with insurance plans

    -Credentialing with hospitals

    -Adding new providers to a practice

    -Team leadership, conducting meetings, encouraging positive work culture
