    THE ROLE YOU’LL PLAY TO CREATE SUCCESS

    We are excited to announce a full-time BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER position filled with many exciting opportunities! In this role, you will have the opportunity to impact the FrankCrum business everyday by acting as a technical consultant for business problems and opportunities and may provide insight for possible technical solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.

    1. Create new business opportunities within our current agent relationship to profitably expand our market presence.
    2. Identify, select and develop new agent relationships in the Houston area.
    3. Listen to the agents and ensure we are focused on the providing the highest level of customer service to our agents and policyholders.
    4. Support the agents with the right product including the workers’ compensation, general liability including the Artisan Contractors program and the PEO when appropriate.
    5. Actively communicate to the home office product owners and underwriting teams on prospective accounts.
    6. Know the area, the business environment, the competition, your agents and products; support product development by presenting ideas, research and business cases to ensure competitive product positioning.  
    7. Make presentations and provide training to agency employees to keep them current in our technology and focused on our products.
    8. Attend trade shows and conferences, both educational and customer oriented.
    9. Work with the Marketing Department to develop new material and collateral to facilitate new business development.
    10. Actively travel throughout Houston and surrounding areas as per supervisor guidelines.

     

    THE ATTRIBUTES WE SEEK

    Keys to success in this position include having a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field, a Texas Property and Casualty License and at least three (3) years of successful experience with an insurer or MGA managing a growing sales territory as a field territory representative or similar role in the industry. Excellent customer service skills, comprehensive written and communication skills and detailed-oriented with the ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment. Three (3) years of knowledge of workers’ compensation insurance, underwriting practices, products, processes, and industry trends. A valid Texas Driver License, acceptable driver record, and a reliable vehicle are required. Bilingual Spanish read/write and speak preferred.
