    Job Description

    FLSA: EXEMPT

    SUMMARY

    Provides human resource consultation and support to a designated business unit using knowledge of human resources practices and laws, company HR tools, practices and infrastructure.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

    · Acts as a strategic and tactical HR partner to business leadership for all aspects of assigned groups of employees.

    · Forms strong partnerships across the HR function to deliver value added services to management and employees.

    · Possesses strong working knowledge of company’s benefit programs, HR policies and practices, HR systems and employee handbook in order to serve as the first point of contact for employees and business unit leadership for all HR matters.

    · Possesses personal and professional credibility to serve as a coach and advisor to employees and members of the business unit leadership.

    · Serves as an employee champion and change agent to ensure employee engagement.

    · Administers HR policies and procedures while optimizing use of internal HR resources and systems.

    · Responsible for recruiting for temporary employees, hourly positions and business unit staff directly using company approved tools and processes, or through staffing agencies and recruiters.

    · Working with business unit leadership, provides workforce planning support and headcount management (planning, scheduling, forecasting) to business leadership.

    · Analyzes trends relating to business unit employees and acts proactively to develop strategies to ensure productivity, engagement and team and individual performance.

    · Identifies and proactively solves employee performance issues through coaching and engagement, or if appropriate, for the application of company disciplinary processes for business unit employees.

    · Collaborates with the HR Center of Excellence for compensation, benefits, payroll, recruiting management, HRIS administration and policy management.

    · Manages business unit salary planning and monitors individual compensation levels; recommends appropriate changes as appropriate following company practices, internal guidelines and policies using company tools and processes established by the HR Center of Excellence.

    · Maintains knowledge about the business unit strategies, financial drivers, KPIs and short-range and long range plans as they affect human resources and workforce planning.

    · Collaborates with internal HR resources for technical and leadership training, employee development, coaching and performance management.

    · Works closely with business unit and organizational development director, plans for succession planning and employee development.

    · Ensures personal and company compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations and company policies directly or in collaboration with the HR Center of Excellence.

    · Collaborates as appropriate with internal or external resources for OSHA reporting, workers compensation, safety and audits.

    · May represent Company at employee related hearings and investigations

    · Occasional travel as required; reliable attendance is a must.

    · Other duties as assigned

    · MANAGEMENT- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

    · PERSONNEL AND HUMAN RESOURCES- Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations, and personnel information systems.

    · HIGH LANGUAGE SKILLS- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

    · BASIC MATH SKILLS- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    · HIGH REASONING ABILITY-Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    · COMPUTER SKILLS- Microsoft Office, HRIS,

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    · Bachelor’s Degree; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

    · Minimum of 3 years experience in Human Resources.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    · Does not directly supervise staff
