    DEPARTMENT: Litigation Group SCHEDULE/STATUS: Monday - Friday, 9:30AM to 5:30PM (with overtime flexibility), Full-Time/Non-Exempt SUPERVISOR: Assigned Attorneys and Human Resources LOCATION: Los Angeles SALARY: The salary range for this position is $51,000 to $52,530, plus overtime. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate or individual who wishes to learn paralegal skills through working with experienced litigation attorneys. It is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience for developing paralegal skills in a very active team environment. This position will report to the assigned attorneys and Human Resources. PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS * Assist attorneys with preparation of pleadings. * Preparing for and attending depositions, hearings, and trials. * Proofreading, cite checking, and editing legal documents. * Project management and organization of litigation cases. * Fact research. * Document collection and production. * Coordination of outside litigation vendors. * Assembling/filing/distributing briefs. * Perform other related duties as assigned. SPECIFIC SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED * Excellent verbal/written communication skills. * Ability to communicate and interact with attorneys, clients, all levels of staff and management at the firm. * Ability to maintain confidentiality. * Strong organizational and time management skills; attention to detail * Ability to plan and manage work under time constraints and high-pressure situations. * Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. * Ability to work independently. * High degree of initiative and self-motivation. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * Bachelor's degree required. * Prior legal experience is beneficial but not required.
