The Legal Assistant must display strong deadline-meeting abilities and be efficient and effective in their work. • Responsibilities: • Schedule and confirm appointments, recorded statements, IMEs and EUOs • Follow up and request all documents in regard to client’s cases including but not limited to insurance information, police reports, medical records, and bills • Provide support to case manager and attorney while managing a caseload • Prepare demands and draft legal documents • Provide clear and concise communication to a multitude of parties including the clients, attorneys, medical providers, and insurance companies • Maintain attorney’s calendars • Ensure deadlines are met Qualifications: • The Legal Assistant position is an entry-level position and legal experience is not required • Minimum of one year of office work or customer service experience or demonstrated interest in the law • The Legal Assistant must have a high school degree • Must have a positive attitude and be computer-savvy • Strong multi-tasking ability • Must be innovative, self-starter, and goal-oriented • Candidate should be able to manage deadlines; ability to follow up and be detail-oriented. • Bilingual – English/Creole or English/Spanish is a + • Ability to work in a fast paced evolving environment as part of a team Compensation: $17 hourly
