    Job Description

    SCOPE OF POSITION: Perform activities to ensure that the people, processes, and products of Franklin Mountain Management meet or exceed company/customer expectations in quality and cost. The Senior Human Resources Generalist will provide overall H.R. support to attain departmental goals and objectives. You will provide human resources support for all employees. This position reports to the Human Resource Manager.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: •    Responsible for full-cycle external recruiting; source, pre-screen candidates, coordinate interviews, conduct employment verification, background checks, drug screens, and extend offers for exempt and non-exempt positions. •    Post all internal job openings and manage the collection of applications, resumes, and interviews. •    Organize the orientation, onboarding process for new hires, and temporary staffing. •    Build rapport with the employee group. •    Maintain employee documentation. •    Design programs to improve the employee experience. •    Participate in the design, implementation, improvement, and administration of employee policies and procedures. •    Act as liaison between employee and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices, regulations. •    Conduct internal investigations and report findings. •    Work with management to track and record employee evaluations and disciplinary actions. •    Performs various H.R. functions to support the business unit, which could include but is not limited to compensation projects and performance management support. •    Work within the HRIS system (ADP) including, timecard processing, reports, and changes. This includes data entry on a regular basis.  •    Assist all departments with any corrections necessary for payroll processing and receive approvals from managers to ensure payroll is processed correctly. •    Prepare termination documents and provide notifications to internal teams to ensure system access is removed. •    Collect and analyze H.R. data, make recommendations for changes to management. •    Assist in the coordination and administration of various training programs for employees. •    Conducts exit interviews, analyzes data and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement. •    Liaison with local Universities. •    Owns the unemployment process including representing the company for any unemployment claims. •    Supervise and lead H.R. Generalist duties and performance with direction from H.R. Manager. •    Track and report H.R. metrics such as absenteeism, turnover, labor hours. •    Ability to coach and make decisions within given authority. •    Provide H.R. support all entities when necessary. •    Uphold and promote the Company's Core Values.

    OTHER DUTIES: •    Provide guidance to employees and management on employee relations, performance issues, and policies and procedures. •    Manage approved employee change requests for input into the system (employee changes, promotion, new role/assignments, demotion, team change, position code creation, etc.). •    Maintain employee equipment records for all company issued equipment. •    Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.     SPECIAL SKILLS: •    Intermediate to Advanced user computer skills, including Word, Excel, E-mail, Internet, and advanced HRIS skills, prefer ADP experience. •    Excellent one-on-one, oral, and written communication skills. •    Sound judgment and problem-solving skills. •    High level of professionalism and discretion. •    Ability to travel occasionally to other company locations. •    Must maintain the utmost discretion and confidentiality •    Strong organizational and time management skills •    Thorough knowledge of all Human Resources disciplines; recruitment/staffing, organization and employee development, benefits, compensation, labor laws, HRIS, diversity and inclusion, EAP's, 5500's and organizational development

    QUALIFICATIONS: •    5 to 8 years of Senior H.R. Generalist or higher-level experience required •    Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field required •    H.R. Certification a preferred but not required  •    Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to perform independently at a high level; self-directed, self-motivated. •    Ability to establish and maintain professional and effective working relationships with employees, management, applicants, and other departments •    Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) required Essential Functions •    Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
