FRAZIER HISTORY MUSEUM JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE: Stories in Mind Program Facilitator, Full Time
REPORTS TO: Stories in Mind Program Administrator
FLSA STATUS: Hourly / Non-Exempt (Level 6), 3-year grant funded position
SCHEDULE: Typically work 9-5, with early mornings/evenings as needed
SUMMARY OF POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:
Develop and facilitate engaging programs for Stories in Mind participants. These programs take place off-site at assisted living and certified nursing facilities. These programs relate to the Museum’s collections, exhibitions, and Kentucky history through creative activities of art, music, and theater. This is an outreach position that will travel to and lead Stories in Mind programs at multiple facilities.
DUTIES / ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Research and build session plans for Stories in Mind programs
- Serve on a review panel to offer constructive feedback on all Stories in Mind programs
- Research, order, and maintain materials needed for each session of Stories in Mind program
- Collaborate in the development and presentation of all Stories in Mind programming and hands-on learning experiences in off-site venues
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous creative arts experience mandatory
- Previous experience with leading informal learning activities for audiences with varied abilities
- Interest and experience in developing or customizing programs for residents in assisted living facilities
- A/V experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Proof of up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination is required

WORKING & PHYSICAL CONDITIONS:
- Driver’s license and use of personal vehicle for off-site programs or errands; the position requires local travel, which may at times be outside of and/or in addition to normal working hours.
- Typical physical demands include walking, standing, climbing stairs, and carrying up to 50 lbs.
