Overview

A Free-Standing Emergency Department in Tallahassee, Florida is seeking experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurses (FSED RNs) to join a high-functioning, patient-focused emergency care team.

This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-acuity emergency care in a streamlined, efficient setting while maintaining strong clinical autonomy and close interdisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Perform rapid triage, assessment, and treatment of emergency patients across all age groups

• Manage care for patients ranging from minor injuries to critical and emergent conditions

• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient presentation and acuity

• Safely prioritize and manage multiple patients in a fast-paced emergency environment

• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and ancillary departments

• Provide patient education, discharge instructions, and appropriate follow-up referrals

• Maintain compliance with emergency care protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

Required:

• Active Florida RN license or compact RN license

• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department RN experience

  • Critical Care RN experience may be considered

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma

• BLS certification (required prior to start)

Required Within 90 Days of Hire:

• ACLS

• PALS

• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention

Preferred:

• BSN

• Prior experience in a free-standing or high-volume emergency department
