    POSITION SUMMARY:

    As a Refurbishing Mechanic, you’ll be responsible for inspecting and repairing used Wheelchair Accessible Mobility Vehicles that we take in on trade. You will perform inspections and repairs on the general maintenance of vehicles, including oil changes, tires, brakes, engine and transmission issues, and general electrical (and also all of the added mobility components - hydraulics, electronics, etc.)

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Perform routine general mechanic work and maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections

    Diagnose and repair various general mechanical issues, including engine problems, transmission issues, and electrical faults

    Perform routine general mechanic work and maintenance on installed mobility apparatus, including pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and structural systems.

    Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance work performed on vehicles

    Maintain a clean and organized work environment and ensure that all tools and equipment are properly maintained

    QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

    High school diploma or equivalent

    Completion of a vocational or technical training program in automotive repair

    Minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanic in a professional setting

    Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components

    Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

    Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills

    Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
